I must and that’s what I am currently doing. It is the most sensible rehabilitative path to recovery…from a rather brute month of June. I would be lying if I told you that there aren’t still prevalent hurt and bruised feelings at this point still.
As you watch this video, it’s my prayer that you’re touched and help me reach the goal on hand. Like David, I am a C6 Incomplete diagnosed Spinal Cord Injury patient.
Imagine having your back cut open, part of your spine removed, a stabilizing device that resembles a mini oil rig mounted on your back, the outer membrane of your spinal cord sliced open and experimental stem cells injected into it -- all for the advancement of science because it's not expected to benefit you....
Another month and the crusade continues…to reach the goal at stake. I trust that you all are well. There isn’t an easier way to put this but, are we there yet? Time’s flying by so fast and yet the growth rate of the fundraiser remains steady….but it is ok because from a distance, it still is in sight.
This month has been a challenge of all sorts, personally for me that is. To think that your worst nightmare is over but only to realize that it continues is truly character-telling. For those who follow my blogging, dramatic life story, and the personal crusade I'm on for a Cure, my hope is that you’ll
Another new year is upon us and so remain the challenges ahead of us to steer it into yet another successful one—one that will yield results and create avenues of opportunity that guarantees us promise and hope in our fundraising bid.
Thank you for an incredible year. United we stood for a cause and here we are still fighting the good fight, united. Of course we’ve had to revise our strategy as recourse to getting to the end goal. It was expected of us to get to destination finale by years’ end but we fell somewhat short of that goal, which has been disappointing but we ride ahead into 2010 with the audacity of hope that stirred up this project in the first place.
Folks, It has been a while since I last blogged. Circumstances haven’t been very permitting due to medical complications arising from the surgery. I’m faring not badly at all…simply just taking it all in a day at a time. I certainly hope all is well with you all.
I’m still awed how fast the year has passed by. Fall is upon us...unbelievably! Perhaps it may just be me but the wonderment of how the year has breezed by is a definite headline caption (sarcasm). But where was I? I hope you are all well. I am doing surprisingly well and one can only hope it gets better as I await surgery to greatly aid my current predicament.
Ahhh, after summer cometh the fall. Glad to be on here blogging again. I am still in the hospital recuperating while awaiting my pending spinal surgery to ease the incessant spasms and pain. I'm excited for the end result but not so much the surgery. Otherwise it's a fine cuisine of mashed potatoes and gravy here at the hospital (smiles).
